BCF Rules

1.  Blackwater Creek Flightpark (BCF) traffic pattern altitude is 800 AGL.

2.  Flight below 1000 AGL over the flightpark and traffic pattern is not permitted unless you are landing or taking off.

3.  Rwy 35 RP is a right pattern runway.

4.  Because of the trees lining the east edge of the airstrip, it is recommended that pilots fly near the north end of the airstrip as part of Rwy 35 landing pattern as shown in Figure 1. This allows the pilot to see and be seen by aircraft preparing to take off on Rwy 17. Remember that some pilots do not have or do not use radios.

5.  Take-offs on Rwy 35 and landings on Rwy 17 are discouraged because of the trees at the north end of the runway and because of the scarcity of emergency landing sites north of the flightpark. However, these operations may be performed at the pilot’s discretion if wind or other conditions dictate.

6.  Aircraft operating at BCF shall stay out of the area marked in yellow in Figure 1. Straight-in approaches (parallel to the highway) for Rwy 35 RP are not permitted.

7.  Unusual attitude flying over the traffic pattern and over the flightpark is not permitted regardless of altitude.

8.  Take-offs and landings are to be conducted on the airstrip only.

9.  No commercial activity of any kind is permitted at the flightpark without prior permission.

10.  No flight-for-pay operations of any kind may be conducted at the flightpark, except for permitted flight instruction sessions.

11.  No flight instruction (for pay or otherwise) is permitted at the flightpark without prior permission.

12. Owners and pilots of aircraft based at the flightpark shall have a notarized Release and Waiver form on file at the flightpark.

13. Each passenger of aircraft based at the flightpark shall have a signed and witnessed Release and Waiver form on file at the flightpark.

14.  No child under sixteen (16) years of age may be a passenger in an ultralight or experimental type aircraft taking off from the flightpark unless the pilot is both the owner of the aircraft and the parent of the child. A witnessed Release and Waiver form must be signed by the parent/ pilot and placed in a designated receptacle prior to the flight.

15.  Each person working in any capacity at the flightpark, whether paid or unpaid, must execute a Release and Waiver form prior to work at the flightpark.

16. Motorized parachutes and other minimally controllable aircraft are not allowed to operate from the flightpark without prior permission.

17. Each pilot and aircraft owner operating at the flightpark is responsible for knowing and following FAA regulations which apply to himself, to his aircraft, and to his activities.

18. Alcoholic beverages and other intoxicates are not permitted at the flightpark.

19. If you bring minors to the flightpark, you shall supervise and keep them with you at all times.

20. Pets brought to the flightpark shall be kept on a lease. Owners shall clean up after their animals.

21. Owners of aircraft based at the flightpark are expected to participate with BCF in achieving compliance with flightpark rules by other pilots and visitors to the flightpark. At the least, based aircraft owners are expected to bring unsafe/ inappropriate activities to the immediate attention of BCF personnel.

22. Blackwater Creek Flightpark reserves the right to deny use of the flightpark to any individual for any reason.
